The bigger your home, the more overwhelming cleaning it can feel. Don't worry, there's plenty of tried and true cleaning tips to help.  Start cleaning from the top and work your way down. Don't try to clean the whole house in one day. You'll be able to tackle it better if you break up the task into parts. Keep reading for a few tips for cleaning the different rooms in your home!

Kitchen
  • Try a magic eraser sponge on a stainless steel sink to make it look like new.
  • Apply a thin layer of car wax to your stovetop to create a coating that easily lifts off spills.
  • DON'T wash your chicken in the sink, it is shown to spread more bacteria on the surrounding counters.
  • Put a handful of wet paper towels in the microwave and put it on for 3-5 minutes. Use the cool paper towels to wipe the dirt away.

Bathroom
  • Put your plastic shower curtain in the washing machine to clean it.
  • Use rainX on the glass shower door to keep water stains away.
  • Clean your bathroom fan with canned air.
  • Try a pumice stone to scrub the hard water /rust stains from the toilet bowl.

Bedroom

  • You can remove sweat and urine stains from your mattresses with a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap. Get the full instructions here.
  • Get the dust and dirt off the walls with all purpose cleaner and a flat mop.
  • Use a wet rubber glove to wipe up pet hair. This will pick up the hair, or you can also use duct tape for those stubborn pieces.
  • Clean the headboards with lemon oil or furniture polish depending on the type of material.

Laundry Room
  • add 1/4 to 1/2 cup lemon juice to a white load of laundry to brighten them up.
  • Watch this video to show you how to fold a shirt in seconds!
  • Run white vinegar through the washing machine to sanitize and wash away soap scum.
  • Be sure to dust thoroughly and clean out the lint tray after every use.

Family Room
  • Use the attachments on your vacuum to clean off the sofas and other furniture.
  • Lysol wipes are a quick and convenient way to disinfect knick knacks and other things that should be wiped down occasionally.
  • Pledge is a great product for shining the wood and dusting at the same time! Use a microfiber cloth for this.
  • Take your curtains down and put them in the washer once in awhile.

There are a lot of cleaning tips to help the process go easier, and if you know more great ones, please share them!
