Job Descriptions:
CREW LEADER
PAINTER
- 5 years verifiable commercial / residential painting experience. With HVLP and Airless spray competency.
- The foreman is expected to communicate with employees the employer’s expectations of workplace performance. Initiate discussions on a regular basis concerning work related issues such as team building, conflicts and work progress, with a positive view to seeking solutions.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with other workers, suppliers, supervisors, general contractors, their personnel and the public.
- Able to work independently, and when required, travels from job site to job site using either a company or privately owned vehicle, for transporting workers, supplies, materials, tools and/or equipment to the job site.
- Estimate time, materials, equipment and manpower required to complete projects safely and efficiently through the entire cycle of work and within acceptable time and quality parameters.
- Adapt to changing circumstances and the flexibility to adjust plans and schedules to meet unforeseen circumstances (i.e. Weather conditions) through extended shift work and occasional weekends.)
- Attends courses, seminars or workshops as approved by his/her supervisor to upgrade skills or stay current with practices and procedures relative to his/her job.
- Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment required to perform his/her duties in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ability to perform related physical and mental activities.
- Willing to work in a highly active physical environment that requires occasional double shifts, 3rd shift, weekends and/or overnight travel. (Mandatory, but not often)
- Drywall finishing and light carpentry are a plus.
PAINTER
- 3 to 5 years verifiable residential painting experience.
- Must be familiar with the standards, practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used for the preparation of various substrates (i.e. wood, metal, plastic, etc.) and finish coating; including correct choice of materials and application processes.
- Must carefully mask and cover surroundings to keep paint off of trees, flowers and shrubs outside, and furniture, carpet and other possessions inside.
- Familiarity with HVLP and Airless spray application. Including safe operation and cleanup of equipment. Ongoing training provided.
- Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.
- Attends courses, seminars or workshops as approved by his/her supervisor to upgrade skills or stay current with practices and procedures relative to his/her job.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe clean job site.
- Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment required to perform his/her duties in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ability to perform related physical and mental activities.
- Willing to work in a highly active physical environment that requires occasional double shifts, 3rd shift, weekends and/or overnight travel. (mandatory)
- Able to climb ladders, scaffold or ride on lift equipment to heights up to 40 feet.
- Drywall finishing and light carpentry experience are a plus.
